🚀 Drone Engineer 🚀
We are looking for a Drone Engineer to support digital surveys, scanning, and data integration on complex construction and infrastructure projects in Flanders. In this role, you will work at the intersection of construction, geospatial data, and digital engineering, helping project teams translate real site situations into accurate digital models.
You will utilize drone technology, 3D scanning, and data processing to make planning, execution, and monitoring of works smarter and more efficient.
✨ Your Contribution ✨
- Perform drone flights, 3D scans, and digital surveys using photogrammetry, LiDAR, and related technologies.
- Process point clouds and geospatial data, integrating them into BIM and GIS environments.
- Create digital models, maps, measurements, and analyses for engineering and project teams.
- Support construction sites with accurate spatial data for planning, coordination, and progress monitoring.
- Advise project teams on digital workflows, scanning methodologies, and best practices.
- Train and support site teams, BIM coordinators, and engineers in using drone and scan data.
- Maintain drones, sensors, and software, ensuring compliance and operational readiness.
- Stay actively informed about developments in drone technology, digital surveys, and construction digitalization.
👤 Your Profile 👤
- Experience with drone scanning, photogrammetry, LiDAR, SLAM, or point cloud processing is a strong asset.
- Experience with BIM and/or GIS as a modeler, coordinator, or data engineer is a plus.
- Affinity with the construction sector (site, planning, engineering, or methods) is highly valued.
- Analytical, accurate, and solution-oriented.
- Strong communication skills, capable of clearly explaining technical matters.
- Curious, innovative, and eager to learn.
- Structured, quality-focused, and detail-oriented.
🎓 Education 🎓
- Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a Professional Bachelor's degree in Construction, Land Surveying, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.
✈️ Drone Certification ✈️
- Valid drone certificates (A1–A3, A2, or Specific category).
- SORA or STS-02 certification is a plus.
💻 Technical Skills 💻
- BIM: Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Solibri
- GIS: ArcGIS, QGIS, FME, CloudCompare, Site Scan
- Point Clouds & Drone Software: ReCap, Cyclone, Pix4D, Metashape, DroneDeploy, DJI Terra
- Strong affinity with IT systems and digital workflows.
🗣️ Language Skills 🗣️
- Dutch: Required (site communication, training, reporting).
- English: Good working knowledge for software, documentation, and technical exchange.
